What is the medical term for massage therapy?
Therapeutic massage
Neuromuscular therapy, the most effective massage treatment for low back pain, consists of alternating levels of pressure applied to muscles to alleviate muscle spasm.
Therapeutic massage does not increase muscle strength, although it can stimulate weak and inactive muscles, which helps compensate for lack of exercise and inactivity caused by illness or injury.
Massage can help treat stress-related physical conditions, including:
- Anxiety and depression
- Fatigue
- Headaches and migraines
- Pain, including muscle tension, back, shoulder and neck pain
- Repetitive stress injuries or sports injuries
His & Her body treats, we offer different forms of massage therapy that include neuromuscular therapy, sports massage, and Swedish massage.
At your initial session, your massage therapist will ask questions about your health and what symptoms you're experiencing to determine how to best treat you.
Please let your massage therapist know of any health problems you have and medications you're taking. He or she will discuss the parts of your body you would like massaged.
Your massage will take place in a massage room. We want you to feel as comfortable as possible. You'll decide how much to undress for your massage. Your massage therapist will leave the room while you undress. You'll cover yourself with a clean sheet and blanket.
Pressure point massage can be given through clothing.
After your massage, you may feel relaxed and a little sleepy, or you may experience a surge of energy, awareness and concentration.
Massage helps release toxins from your soft tissues, so we recommend that you drink plenty of water after to flush toxins out of your system.

Cancellation of any appointment must be received at least 24 hours in advance.
A " No Show" of any appointment shall be subject to 100%
of appointment fee and will be charged and due before the next appointment is scheduled.

His & Her Body Treats is a new business venture established in 2016 and serving the Melbourne Florida community. Our therapist are all professional licensed by the State of Florida with a minimum of 5 years experience providing therapeutic services to chiropractic patients as well as clients of all ages . Doña is a Certified Medical Massage Therapist. His & Her Body Treats is authorized to process Florida Blue Insurance and United Health Care claims for clients who have met their deductible and require weekly treatment to address chronic pain. His & Her Body Treats offers a variety of massage therapy and spa services for its clients. Enhanced therapies ranging from foot scrubs and aromatherapy can take your massage experience to a higher level of relaxation and enjoyment for your body and mind. Doña offers cupping and lymphatic drainage treatments to clients with a variety of medical issues.
